Cairo – Mubasher: Lecico Egypt announced the closure of its International Ceramics factory for two weeks after one of its workers tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
All staff at the factory were sent home to self-isolate for 14 days in line with the instructions of the Egyptian Ministry of Health, according to a bourse disclosure on Thursday.
The company added that its Lecico for Ceramics Sanitary Ware factory in Alexandria has been reopened after a two-week closure following the detection of COVID-19 cases.
Operations at other sites won’t be disrupted, the company affirmed, noting that International Ceramics represents around 55% of its tile output capacity.
