DFM gains AED 2.7bn on Thursday
The market cap value rose by AED 2.72 billion

Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) increased by 1.12% or 22.52 points to close Thursday's trading session at 2,026.61 points, maintaining its positive performance on Wednesday.

Around 316.80 million shares were traded through 5,502 transactions at a total value of AED 285.30 million.

The market cap value rose by AED 2.72 billion to AED 290.90 billion, compared to AED 288.18 billion during the previous session.

The banks' sector led the risers with 2.67%, followed by the investment and financial services segment with 0.51%.

Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance Company (Aman) topped 16 rising stocks with 7.90%, while Oman Insurance Company headed 15 losing stocks with 5%.

Union Properties posted the highest trading volume of 48.82 million shares, while Emaar Properties recorded the highest turnover of AED 52.60 million.

Emirates NBD hit the top of the rising blue chips with 4.88%, while Damac Properties led the losing blue chips with 3.26%.
