EGX loses EGP 5.2bn in market cap at Monday’s close
The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 605.38 million

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session in the red zone.

The benchmark EGX30 index dropped by 1.16% to end at 10,081 points.

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI fell by 2.53% to 1,150 points, while the broader EGX100 index decreased by 1.12% to 1,088 points.

Similarly, the EGX50 index went down by 2.26% to 1,526 points.

The market cap dropped by EGP 5.2 billion to close at EGP 551.2 billion.

Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 229.98 million and EGP 79.77 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 309.76 million.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 605.38 million after 235.5 million shares were exchanged through about 30,090 transactions.
