Mubasher: Kuwait has so far registered a total of 8,688 confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases after 1,065 cases tested positive for the disease in the past 24 hours, according to an official statement on Sunday.

This represents the highest daily rise in Kuwait since the outbreak began.

The country’s recoveries from the coronavirus rose by 107 to stand at 2,729, while the fatalities increased by nine to take the death toll to 58, according to the latest figures.

In addition, a total of 114 patients are in intensive care, 45 of them are in critical condition, while those currently receiving treatment at hospitals reached 5,901 patients.
