EGX ends Monday mixed; market cap drops EGP 2.6bn
The benchmark EGX30 index rose by 0.38%

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a varied note amid foreign and Arab selloffs and local purchases.

The benchmark EGX30 index rose by 0.38% to close at 10,296 points.

On the other hand, the EGX70 EWI declined by 2% to 1,104 points, while the EGX100 EWI fell by 1.51% to 1,808 points.

The EGX50 index went down by 0.81% to close at 1,499 points.

The market cap value shrank by EGP 2.6 billion to EGP 546.95 billion.

In addition, the market’s turnover reached EGP 1.1 billion after 251.813 million shares were exchanged through about 32,070 transactions.

Foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 96.86 million and EGP 75.7 million, respectively, while Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 172.6 million.
