Egypt’s furniture exports drop 24% in Q1-20
Saudi Arabia was the top importer of Egyptian furniture

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s furniture exports fell by 24% to $58 million in the first quarter of 2020, compared to $76 million in the year-ago period, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Tuesday.

Saudi Arabia was the top importer of Egyptian furniture with a value $15 million in the January-March period, according to data by the Egyptian Furniture Export Council (EFEC).

The UAE came in at the second place with $8 million, followed by Oman, Sudan, and Iraq with $6 million, $5 million, and $5 million, respectively.

Furniture exports to the US, Jordan, and Libya reached $2 million, $2 million, $1 million, in that order.
