Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Tuesday on a positive note, rising by 1.22% or 80.46 points, at the level of 6,684.42 points.
Traded volume amounted to 2220.40 million shares with a turnover of SAR 4.07 through 192,000 transactions.
As for the market sectors' performance, the materials index added 3.04%, banks went up by 0.49%, while telecom and energy gained 1.82% and 1.26%, respectively.
Petrochem topped the rising stocks as it surged by 10%, followed by GACO and TADCO.
On the other hand, Ataa Educational and Saudi Ceramic were the biggest losing stocks, falling by 3.68% and 3.13%, respectively.
Dar Alarkan was the most actively traded stock with 51.37 million shares and the highest traded value of SAR 352.065 million.
Meanwhile, the Nomu-Parallel Market lost 0.77% as the NomuC index closed at 6,810 points.
