Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a positive note on the back of local purchases.

The benchmark EGX30 index rose by 2.84%, ending the mid-week session at 10,588 points.

In the meantime, the EGX70 EWI advanced by 3.08% to 1,138 points, while the EGX100 EWI climbed by 3.34% to 1,869 points.

Likewise, the EGX50 index went up by 3.37% to close at 1,550 points.

The market cap value gained EGP 10.8 billion to EGP 557.78 billion.

In addition, the market’s turnover reached EGP 997.617 million after 256.85 million shares were exchanged through about 29, 840 transactions.

Foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 87.25 million and EGP 16 million, respectively, while Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 103.32 million.
