Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Wednesday's trading session on a positive note after gaining 28.93 points or 1.52% to 1,921.15 points, maintaining its positive performance on Tuesday, 12 May.

The market cap value recorded AED 281.69 billion, up AED 3.17 billion from AED 278.52 billion during the previous session.

Around 223.43 million shares were traded through 5,063 transactions valued at AED 285.41 million.

The banks segment led the winners with 2.81%, followed by the investment and financial services segment with 0.69%.

Damac Properties headed 13 rising stocks with 7.75%, while Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance Company (Aman) topped 14 losing stocks with 3.53%.

Union Properties posted the highest trading volume of 86.28 million shares, while Emirates NBD, up 4.14%, recorded the highest turnover of AED 126.13 million.

DXB Entertainments hit the top of the losing blue chips with 2.14%.
