UAE improves on WEF's Energy Transition Index 2020
The UAE has been placed among the top ten countries worldwide

UAE – Mubasher: The UAE has been ranked in the 63rd place on the Energy Transition Index (ETI) 2020 by the World Economic Forum (WEF), advancing by four positions compared to its ranking in 2019.

The WEF's ETI, with a score of 40 indicators, evaluates the economic performance of 115 countries based on their energy system and their readiness for transition to a secure, sustainable, affordable, and inclusive future energy system.

The report showed that the UAE has been placed among the top ten countries worldwide in several indicators, according to Fostering Effective Energy Transition 2020 report by the WEF.

The UAE has progressed seven points in the economic growth and development indicator to rank 38th globally and eight points in the capital and investment indicator.

As for the infrastructure and innovative business environment, the UAE ranked fourth globally, improving seven points.

Meanwhile, the report showed that the energy access and security index increased 24 points to globally land the UAE in the seventh position.
