Saudi Arabia lowers holdings of US T-bonds
Saudi holdings of US treasury bonds amounted to $159 billion in March

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has lowered its holdings of US treasury bonds last March by 6.5% ot $11 billion, as shown by recent data.

The kingdom’s holdings of the US bonds amounted to $159 billion in March, compared with SAR 170 billion in the same month of the previous year.

On a monthly basis, Saudi holdings of US T-bonds decreased by 13.7% or $25.3 billion, compared to its level in February at $184.4 billion.

Saudi Arabia ranked 12th among the holders of US debt instruments on a list topped by Japan and China with $1.27 trillion and $1.08 trillion, respectively.
