Dubai – Mubasher: The net profits of Dubai National Insurance and Reinsurance (DNIR) recorded AED 26.67 million during the first quarter (Q1) of 2020, compared to AED 26.01 million in the same period of 2019.

The company's net earned premium rose to AED 30.45 million in Q1-2020 from AED 29.94 million during the year-ago period, according to the company's interim financial statements for the period ended on 31 March 2020.

The company reported a net underwriting income of AED 12.485 million in the first three months of 2020, versus AED 12.995 million in the corresponding period of 2019.

The basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) stood at AED 0.23 in Q1-20.

It is noteworthy to mention that in 2019, the company's net profits rose to AED 58.085 million from AED 52.661 million in 2018.
