ADX resumes upward performance on Tuesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) rose by 0.34% or 13.79 points to stand at 4,074.30 points by the end of Tuesday's trading session, reversing its negative performance on Monday, 18 May.

The market cap value recorded AED 455.08 billion, up by AED 1.17 billion from AED 453.91 billion during the previous session.

Turnover reached AED 160.29 million after the exchange of around 49.87 million shares through 2,630 transactions.

The telecommunications sector led the winners with 1.18%, while the energy sector headed the losers with 1.34%.

Methaq Takaful Insurance Company came on top of the green zone with 5.56%, while Emirates Driving Co topped the red zone with 4.97%.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), up 4.41%, was the most active stock with 10.89 million traded shares at a total value of AED 45.43 million.

Dana Gas led the losing blue chips and declined by 1.68%.
