ADX gains 1.4% on Wednesday
Turnover totaled AED 158.05 million

UAE - Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) rose by 1.39% or 56.54 points to end Wednesday's trading session at 4,130.84 points, maintaining its positive performance on Tuesday, 19 May.

The market cap value reached AED 462.02 billion, higher AED 6.94 billion when compared to AED 455.08 billion during the previous session.

Turnover totalled AED 158.05 million after around 108.05 million shares had been traded through 1,903 transactions.

The banks segment topped the gainers with 2.08%, while the telecommunications sector led the losers with 0.52%.

International Holdings Company hit the top of the green zone with 7.84%, while Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries (Julphar) topped the red zone with 4.95%.

Emirates Telecommunications Group (Etisalat), down 0.52%, registered the highest turnover of AED 28.88 million, while Ras Al Khaimah Cement (RAK Cement) was the most active stock with 37.85 million shares.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) topped the rising blue chips with 3.29%.
