UAE gov't announces return to work at 30% capacity on Sunday

UAE – Mubasher: A maximum of 30% of UAE employees will return to work in federal ministries, authorities, and institutions starting from Sunday, 31 May, the Federal Authority For Government Human Resources (FAHR) announced.

The decision for the gradual return for employees includes the implementation of all precautionary measures to contain the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the UAE Government tweeted on Wednesday.

This excludes certain groups who will be working remotely.

The excluded groups include pregnant women, older employees, people of determination, people with pre-existing chronic health issues, people suffering from underlying respiratory diseases like asthma and diabetes, female employees with children up to the ninth grade until the end of current school year, female employees with children in foster care, and those who care for people who require permanent healthcare under emergency conditions.

It is noteworthy to mention that the number of COVID-19 infections in the UAE totalled 31,969 after the Ministry of Health announced the detection of 883 new cases on Wednesday. The number of recoveries reached 16,371, while the death toll amounted to 255.
