Cairo – Mubasher: Telecom Egypt and Etisalat Misr signed two agreements regarding transmission and mobile-to-fixed interconnection.

The first deal includes developing Telecom Egypt’s transmission and infrastructure services’ commercial model with Etisalat Misr, according to a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Monday.

This marks Etisalat Misr’s first long-term agreement including annual commitment for Telecom Egypt’s infrastructure and transmission services.

Over three and a half years, Etisalat Misr will continue to provide mobile telecommunications services in the market with a total value of EGP 2 billion.

Moreover, the first mobile-to-fixed termination agreement was signed between the two companies.

It is noteworthy to mention that in 2019, Telecom Egypt logged EGP 4.4 billion in net profits, up from EGP 3.3 billion in 2018.
