DFM up on Monday; market cap gains AED 3.24bn

Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has resumed its upward performance after the benchmark index had increased by 1.47% or 28.63 points to close Monday's trading session at 1,973.72 points.

The market cap value grew by AED 3.24 billion to AED 286.73 billion, compared to AED 283.49 billion during the previous session.

Around 131.70 million shares were traded through 3,122 transactions valued at AED 189.45 million.

The consumer staples sector headed the risers with 2.89%.

Shuaa Capital led 20 rising stocks with 5.36%, while Takaful Emarat – Insurance came on top of five losing stocks with 4.89%.

Union Properties posted the highest trading volume of 31.60 million shares, while Emirates NBD recorded the highest turnover of AED 71.51 million.

As for the blue chips, DXB Entertainments topped the risers with 3.13%.
