Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) maintained its positive performance on Monday, closing the first session of June up by 1.05% or 75.78 points.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed at the level of 7,288.81 points.

Traded values increased to SAR 6.67 billion, up from SAR 6.51 billion on Sunday.

Traded volumes amounted to 347.18 million shares through 288,024 transactions, compared with 307.4 million shares traded in 299,000 transactions yesterday.

Market gains were supported by the positive performance of major sectors, as the materials index increased by 2.11%, while the telecom sector rose by 0.88%, the banks' sector levelled up by 0.70%.

The food production sector gained 4.42%.

On the other hand, the transport and energy sectors were the only decliners, losing 0.61% and 0.21%, respectively.

Gulf Union topped the rising stocks, rising by 9.89%, while Almrakez was the biggest loser and closed down by 2.72%.

Dar Alarkan was the most actively traded stock with around 82.9 million shares, with the highest turnover of SAR 602.436 million.
