DFM keeps upward performance for second session in row

Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) edged up 0.54% or 10.74 points to stand at 1,984.46 points by the end of Tuesday's trading session, maintaining its positive performance on Monday, 1 June.

The market cap value increased by AED 20 million to AED 286.93 billion, when compared to AED 286.73 billion during the previous session.

Around 186.77 million shares were exchanged through 3,304 transactions valued at AED 177.04 million.

The investment and financial services segment led the winners with 1.60%, while the services sector came on top of the losers with 0.71%.

Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) topped 23 rising stocks with 7.81%, while Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) headed six losing stocks with 4.93%.

DXB Entertainments recorded the highest trading volume of 40.01 million shares, while Air Arabia posted the highest turnover of AED 33.69 million.

Damac Properties led the rising blue chips with 3.78%.
