ADX up on Wednesday; market cap reaches AED 481.78bn

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) inched up by 0.17% or 7.36 points to close Wednesday's trading session at 4,284.73 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 261.07 million after the exchange of 63.85 million shares through 2,225 transactions.

The market cap value increased by AED 900 million to AED 481.78 billion, compared to AED 480.88 billion during the previous session.

The real estate sector led the risers with 1.35%, while the telecommunications segment topped the decliners with 1.08%.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) topped the green zone with 4.6%, while AXA Green Crescent Insurance Company headed the red zone with 5%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) was the most active stock with 9.40 million shares traded at a total value of AED 107.64 million.

Emirates Telecommunications Group (Etisalat) came on top of the losing blue chips with 1.08%.
