Wizz Air to have 100 aircraft serving GCC by 2035
Wizz Air flew 40 million passengers to 151 airports

Mubasher: Wizz Air seeks to own 100 aircrafts serving across the GCC markets by 2035, announced Wizz Air CEO, Joszef Varadi.

Varadi made the announcement in an interview with the aviation industry consultant John Strickland during the ATM Virtual held on 1-3 June, according to a press release on Thursday.

Commenting on his ambition for the impending operation of the low-cost carrier in Abu Dhabi, Wizz Air CEO said: "If you look at what we’ve been able to achieve in the EU, we managed to grow our fleet to 100 aircraft over the last 15 years and we should be able to do the same thing in Abu Dhabi."

He added that the Hungarian low-cost airline, which flew 40 million passengers to 151 airports in 44 countries, would expand its services in the GCC market.

It is noteworthy to mention that on Wednesday, 3 June, Wizz Air CEO announced that the joint venture with Abu Dhabi state holding company ADQ will start flying with six aircraft up from three in October.
