Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Thursday's session at 2,039.48 points, up 1.98% or 39.77 points, crossing the 2,000-mark for the first time since April 2020.
The market cap value jumped by AED 3.74 billion to AED 291.82 billion, against AED 288.08 billion during the previous session.
A total of 198.39 million shares were traded through 4,817 transactions at a total value of AED 310.26 million.
The investment and financial services sector came on top of the gainers with 5.56%, while the consumer staples and services segments remained unchanged.
Dubai Investments led 15 rising stocks with 7.43%, while Dar Al Takaful headed 12 losing stocks with 4.50%.
Dubai Investments was the most active stock with 46.92 million shares traded at AED 60.79 million.
Arabtec Holding topped the rising blue chips with 1.92%.
