UAE – Mubasher: DP World has acquired a 51% stake in the TIS Container Terminal in Ukraine's Yuzhny Port, according to Dubai media office.

The acquisition is the second partnership between DP World and the shareholders of TIS, as the world leader in global supply chain solutions previously partnered with the P&O Maritime Ukraine.

The acquisition aims to increase DP World's operations, strengthen TIS container terminal's position, and help Ukrainian trade to be more resilient.

Through the project, DP World will link its terminals in Constanta and Yarimca with TIS container terminal using its Unifeeder network to offer services in the Black Sea.

This partnership came following DP World's acquisition of digital platforms, including SeaRates.com, LandRates.com, and AirRates.com, as well as the formation of the Digital Freight Alliance.

The Group Chairman and CEO of DP World, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, said: "This acquisition establishes DP World in a highly attractive market, we look forward to contributing our experience, expertise, and resources to the continued development and growth of the TIS container terminal."
