Riyadh - Mubasher: The World Steel Association has classified Saudi Arabi as one of the world’s 20 major steel-producing countries with a production of 8.2 million tonnes in 2019, Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) announced on its official Twitter page on Sunday.

The world ranking captures the efforts exerted by the rational Saudi government as well as the public and private sectors in bolstering the steel industry, being one of the kingdom’s strategic and vital industries.

Steel is crucial for many industries and plays a key role in economic activities, the statement added.
