Dubai – Mubasher: Arabtec Holding has reportedly cut 3,300 jobs in the past two months due to the economic impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, sources told Reuters.

Around 20% of each category at the group was laid off, with 300 of the company's staff, including engineers and project managers; and  3,000 contracted labourers and manual workers.

In addition, the engineering and construction group is said to have reduced salaries between 10% and 40%.

In 2019, the group's accumulated losses totalled AED 671.25 million, representing 44.7% of its capital.
