Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a rising note on the back of local purchases.

The main EGX30 index went up by 0.13%, ending the session at 10,764 points.

Likewise, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI climbed by 2.15% to 1,451 points, while the broader EGX100 EWI rose by 1.85% to 2,245 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX50 index advanced by 1.56% to 1,731 points.

The market cap value increased by EGP 4.4 billion to EGP 589.9 billion.

Local investors were net buyers with EGP 140.5 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 120 million and EGP 20.46 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.11 billion after 387.6 million shares were exchanged through about 38,140 transactions.
