ADX up on Thursday; market cap gains AED 3.2bn

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Thursday's trading session in the green zone after gaining 0.62% or 26.6 points to stand at 4,311.72 points, reversing its downward performance on Wednesday, 1 July.

Turnover amounted to AED 145.90 million after 65.99 million shares had been traded through 1,190 transactions.

The market cap value rose by AED 3.2 billion to AED 488.17 billion from AED 484.97 billion during the previous session.

The energy sector topped the risers with 1.85%.

Abu Dhabi National Energy (TAQA) came on top of the green zone with 14.95%, while Sharjah Cement and Industrial Development Co (SCIDC) headed the red zone with 5%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) recorded the highest turnover of AED 64.81 million, while TAQA posted the highest trading volume of 12 million shares.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) led the rising blue chips with 1.41%.
