Saudi Arabia renews residence permits for 3M
Expired residence visas will be extended for expats abroad

Riyadh - Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has renewed the final exit visas for expatriates with no charge, a source at the Ministry of Interior stated on Sunday.

Expired residence visas will be extended for expats outside the kingdom for three months free of charge via the exit and return visa, which was set to expire during the period when travel to and from the kingdom was suspended, according to an official statement.

Exit and return visas that have not been used during the travel suspension period will be extended for an additional three months for free.

Moreover, exit and return visas for all expats outside the kingdom that were set to end during the travel suspension period will be renewed for three months for free. Additionally, residence permits for expats inside the kingdom who had arrived through a visit visa that was set to end during the travel suspension period will be also extended for more three months for free.

All these exceptions are subject to continuous follow-up and change as may be required, the source explained.

The announcement comes in light of the continuous efforts exerted by the Saudi government to gauge the effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on individuals, private sector entities, and investors.
