Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a positive note with its market cap rising to the highest level in four months.
The main EGX30 index climbed by 1.81% to end at 10,959 points.
Likewise, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI advanced by 3.73% to 1,505 points, while the broader EGX100 EWI rose by 3.46% to 2,323 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX50 index increased by 3.57% to close at 1,793 points.
The market cap gained EGP 10.2 billion to close at EGP 600.2 billion, hitting its highest level since 8 March.
The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.07 billion after 449.2 million shares were exchanged through around 42,220 transactions.
