EGX ends Monday on positive note
The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.855 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a rising note on the back of local purchases.

The benchmark EGX30 index advanced by 1.17% to end at 11,087 points.

Similarly, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 2.16% to 1,537 points, while the broader EGX100 EWI increased by 1.98% to 2,369 points.

In the meantime, the EGX50 index climbed by 2.55% to close at 1,839 points.

The market cap value went up by EGP 5.83 billion to EGP 606.07 billion, hitting its highest level since 8 March.

Local investors were net buyers with EGP 119.5 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 96.9 million and EGP 22.5 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.855 billion after 641.23 million shares were exchanged through 55,005 transactions.
