Dubai Metro Red Line extension project launched at AED 11bn cost
The project includes seven new stations to transport 125,000 passengers per day

Dubai – Mubasher: Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s vice president and prime minister and Dubai’s ruler, inaugurated the Dubai Metro Red Line extension.

The AED 11 billion project, announced 47 months ago, includes seven new stations to transport 125,000 passengers per day, the ruler of Dubai tweeted on Wednesday.

In 2009, Dubai Metro started operations as the world's first and longest driverless metro system.
