ADX ends Thursday down as blue chips fall
Arkan Building Materials headed the decliners after sliding by 4.87%

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) fell by 0.38% or 16.38 points to close Thursday’s trading session at 4,295.48 points, extending its losses from the previous session.

The market’s turnover reached AED 125.51 million after 48.17 million shares were traded through 1,950 transactions.

Meanwhile, the market cap value increased by AED 2.87 billion to AED 593.64 billion on Thursday from AED 590.77 billion in the previous session.

The banks and telecoms sectors went down by 0.50% and 0.12%, respectively, while the energy and real estate sectors rose by 0.96% and 0.52%, in that order.

Arkan Building Materials headed the decliners after sliding by 4.87%, while Abu Dhabi National Energy (TAQA) topped the gainers with 4.32%.

Aldar Properties, up 0.56%, was the most active stock after 13.98 million shares were traded at a turnover of AED 25.29 million.

Meanwhile, the blue-chips Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), and Emirates Telecommunications Group (Etisalat) dropped by 0.79%, 0.72%, and 0.12%, respectively.

On the other hand, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution (ADNOC Distribution) rose by 0.60% and 0.33%, in that order.
