Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a positive note with its benchmark EGX30 index rising by 1.05% to 11,071 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI climbed by 3.98% to end at 1,536 points, while the broader EGX100 EWI advanced by 3.46% to 2,369 points.

Likewise, the EGX50 index rose by 3.34% to close at 1,850 points.

The market cap value increased by EGP 9.97 billion to EGP 606.746 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 48.5 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 35.9 million and EGP 12.6 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover stood at EGP 945.5 million after 353.3 million shares were traded through about 40,500 transactions.
