Saudi NWC implements two wastewater projects in Hail at SAR 64m
More than 10,000 people will benefit from the two projects

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s National Water Company (NWC) started implementing two projects in Hail area at a cost of more than SAR 64 million as part of the national transformation initiatives.

The NWC affirmed that it is progressing in realising its strategic plans to develop infrastructure and raise the operational efficiency of the water and environmental sectors, according to a press release on Monday.

The projects comprise the implementation of wastewater networks with the pipeline to King Fahd district in Hail city (contract no, 1), as well as completion of wastewater networks building in Baqaa governorate in Hail (contract no. 4), Northern Cluster senior general manager, Raed Al Rashed, said.

Moreover, the investments build on the strategy of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA) in protecting the environment.

The first project comprises the execution of more than 34 kilometres long of main and sub wastewater networks, in addition to 250 domestic connections. The second investment covers the implementation of over 28 kilometres long of main and sub wastewater networks and 500 domestic connections, he explained.

The two projects will serve more than 10,000 residents and will considerably remove the environmental damages afflicted on target areas and increase service coverage.
