Dubai's imports recorded AED 8 billion in H1-2

UAE – Mubasher: The trade exchange between Dubai and Italy has reached AED 9.5 billion during the first half (H1) of 2020, according to the Dubai media office.

Dubai's imports from Italy recorded AED 8 billion in H1-20, while exports and re-exports registered AED 667 million and AED 739 million, respectively.

This announcement came during a virtual meeting between the director general of Dubai Customs, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, and his Italian counterpart Marcello Minenna to discuss ways to support the global trade flow and supply chains amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Musabih highlighted the stimulus package introduced by Dubai to alleviate the COVID-19 economic impact, which includes 20% refunding of the customs fees imposed on imported products sold in Dubai markets.
