The banks sector led the decliners

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) declined by 1.56% or 66.71 points to end Wednesday's trading session at 4,221.11 points, maintaining its negative performance on Tuesday, 14 July.

A total of 48.39 million shares were exchanged through 1,478 transactions at a total value of AED 120.94 million.

The market cap value decreased by AED 6.79 billion to AED 590.68 billion, compared to AED 597.47 billion during the previous session.

The banks sector led the decliners with 2.60%, while the energy segment came on top of the risers with 0.80%.

Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) topped the red zone with 4.93%, while AXA Green Crescent Insurance headed the green zone with 12.24%.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) posted the highest turnover of AED 28.97 million, while Dana Gas, up 2.12%, recorded the highest trading volume of 14.72 million shares.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) hit the top of the losing blue chips with 3.46%.
