EGX loses over EGP 15bn in market cap at Wednesday's close
The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.5 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session on a negative note, dragged by local and foreign selloffs.

The main EGX30 index fell by 2.36%, ending the session at 10,617 points.

Similarly, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI slid by 3.85% to 1,461 points, while the EGX100 EWI dropped by 3.73% to 2,254 points.

In the meantime, the EGX50 index went down by 3.43% to close at 1,775 points.

The market cap value decreased by EGP 15.2 billion to EGP 580.684 billion.

Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 61.9 million, while local and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 55.82 million and EGP 6.15 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.5 billion after 591 million shares were traded through nearly 56,800 transactions.
