Egypt’s parliament gives final approval for several laws on Monday
The members of parliament also approved the 1% tax on salaries

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian parliament gave final approval for several laws, including extending the state of emergency for three months, starting from Monday, 27 July, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Monday.

In addition, several economic laws were also approved during Monday’s session, including a law waiving late payment interest and penalties on taxes.

The members of parliament also greenlighted the 1% salary cut to face the coronavirus crisis, amendments to the public enterprises law, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and banking sector law, and a bill for earmarking an additional allocation of EGP 80 billion to the new budget for fiscal year 2019/2020.
