Gold prices register new record high in Egypt
The price of 24-karat gold stood at EGP 958.85 per gram

Cairo - Mubasher: Gold prices in the Egyptian market recorded on Thursday its highest level ever, according to the gold division at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC).

The higher gold prices in the Egyptian market came in conjunction with a rise in global ounce prices which settled at $1,884 on Wednesday, a member in the gold division, Ehab Wassef, told Mubasher.

The prices of 24-karat gold stood at EGP 958.85 per gram, while the gram price of 18-karat gold and 24-karat reached around EGP 839 and EGP 719.15, respectively.

Meanwhile, the price of the golden pound registered EGP 6,712.
