Riyadh – Mubasher: The general index of the Saudi bourse, the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI), closed the three-day week that ended on Tuesday, 28 July, higher by 0.44% to settle at 7,459.21 points, from 7,426.78 points in the previous week.

The Saudi market had just three working days this week as the Eid Al Adha holiday began this Wednesday.

The trading volume totalled 611,500 shares this week, compared with 1.57 million a week earlier. The traded value fell by 56.2% weekly, reaching SAR 13.86 billion ($3.7 billion) by Tuesday-end from SAR 31.63 billion ($8.43 billion).

Average traded values were SAR 4.62 billion ($1.23 billion) this week, compared to SAR 6.33 billion ($1.69 billion). Additionally, the market capitalization increased by 0.44% or SAR 8.72 billion ($2.32 billion) to stand at SAR 8.38 billion ($2.235 billion).

A total of 16 sectors rose, topped by the health care equipment and services sector with 3.27%. The materials and the banks segments gained 1.05% and 0.6%, respectively; whereas diversified financial services headed five losers with 1.86%.
