Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading session on a positive note on the back of local and Arab purchases.
The main EGX30 index climbed by 1.06%, ending the session at 10,817 points.
Similarly, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI increased by 0.57% to 1,588 points, while the EGX100 EWI rose by 0.63% to 2,436 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX50 EWI advanced by 0.83% to close at 1,885 points.
The market cap value grew by 3.5 billion to register EGP 597.038 billion.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 87.4 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 53.9 million and EGP 33.5 million, respectively.
The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.23 billion after 458.43 million shares were exchanged through nearly 40,600 transactions.
