Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) has achieved its highest single-day crude oil production of 12.1 million barrels on 2 April 2020.
The oil giant continues to expand its gas business to meet future global and domestic energy demand, according to a press release on Sunday.
The Fadhili Gas Plant reached its full production capacity of 2.5 billion standard cubic feet per day (bcf/d) during the second quarter (Q2), after successfully completing its commissioning activities.
Earlier, Aramco reported SAR 24.62 billion in net profits for Q2 of the year, down by 73.41% from SAR 92.59 billion in the corresponding quarter a year earlier, reflecting the impact of lower crude oil prices and declining refining and chemicals margins.
Moreover, revenue for the three-month period ended 30 June 2020 reached SAR 123.23 billion, a decline of 57.03% when compared to SAR 286.81 billion in Q2-19.
Additionally, the company said it will distribute SAR 70.32 billion ($18.75 billion) worth of cash dividends to shareholders for Q2-20.
