ADX closes Sunday in red

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Sunday's trading session in the red zone after losing 0.64% or 28.10 points to stand at 4,331.49 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 69.99 million after 52.33 million shares had been traded through 1,000 transactions.

The market cap value decreased by about AED 4.72 billion to AED 638.4 billion, compared to AED 643.12 billion during the previous session.

The real estate sector came on top of the decliners with 1.57%, while the telecommunications segment remained unchanged.

Methaq Takaful Insurance led the red zone with 4.75%, while Abu Dhabi National Company for Building Materials (BILDCO) headed the green zone with 8.2%.

International Holdings registered the highest turnover of AED 18.47 million, while Arkan Building Materials was the most active stock with 15.64 million shares.

Aldar Properties topped the losing blue chips with 1.7%, while Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) led the rising blue chips with 0.27%.
