DFM closes Monday on marginal gains
A total of 170.63 million shares were traded

Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) inched up 0.17% to end Monday's trading session at 2,093.80 points, reversing its downward performance on Sunday, 9 August.

A total of 170.63 million shares were traded through 3,385 transactions at a total value of AED 163.44 million.

However, the market cap value declined by around AED 210 million to AED 296.39 billion, compared to AED 296.60 billion during the previous session.

The investment and financial services sector led the risers with 0.84%, while the consumer staples segment came on top of the decliners with 2.95%.

Ekttitab Holding topped the green zone with 7.36%, while Islamic Arab Insurance Company (Salama) headed the red zone with 4.9%.

Arabtec Holding, down 1.9%, was the most active stock with 37.4 million shares traded at AED 39.66 million.

Dubai Investments hit the top of the rising blue chips with 0.88%.
