UAE - Mubasher: Abu Dhabi has decreased its imports of raw tobacco and manufactured tobacco products to nearly zero during the first four months of 2020, according to the latest data by the Statistics Center - Abu Dhabi (SCAD).

Abu Dhabi's trade of tobacco declined by 21% to AED 22.3 million in the January-April period of 2020, when compared to the same period of 2019.

The emirate's re-exports of tobacco and its products reached around AED 21.7 million in the first four months of the current year, down from AED 27.5 million in the corresponding period of 2019.

Meanwhile, the imports recorded around AED 50,000 in the January-April period of 2020, while the exports retreated to AED 620,000 from AED 740,000 in 2019.
