Apple to open floating store in Singapore

Mubasher: Apple said it is close to opening an eye-catching new Apple Store in Singapore that floats on the water, CNBC reported on Tuesday.

The breathtaking store is located in a futuristic giant orb that lights up at night and will be named Apple Marina Bay Sands after the hotel complex it will be part of.

“We will soon open the doors to our new store by the Bay. Apple Marina Bay Sands will be at the heart of creativity, a place we have made for you to capture your ideas and passions. It will be a space for you to explore, connect, and create something new,” Apple said.

Apple, which owns hundreds of stores worldwide selling iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, and Macs, previously inaugurated two stores in Singapore.

Earlier this month, Apple became the first US firm to reach a $2 trillion valuation.

During the third quarter (Q3) ended 27 June 2020, Apple posted quarterly revenue of $59.7 billion, an increase of 11% from the year-ago quarter.
