UAE – Mubasher: The construction works on the Expo 2020 site are expected to be completed by the end of 2020, the Chief Development and Delivery Officer at Expo 2020 Dubai, Ahmed Al Khatib, announced in a press release on Wednesday. 

Al Khatib said that the Sustainability and Mobility districts at Expo 2020 are in the final stage of completion, and most of the exhibits were placed in the two districts.

During the second day of the fifth edition of the Expo 2020 International Participants Meeting 2020, held on 24-27 August, Al Khatib noted that the UAE will complete the construction of the Dubai Exhibition Centre next month.

 The chief development and delivery officer further remarked that 95% of the public space at Expo 2020 was also completed.

It is noteworthy to mention that Expo 2020 Dubai will be convened from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022 after being postponed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
