Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The board of Arkan Building Materials Company has appointed Abdelaziz Asad as a new acting chief executive officer of the company, according to a press release on Monday.

Before occupying his new position, Asad, with around 30 years of experience in the building materials sector, was Arkan’s chief operating officer.

Meanwhile, the company's CEO Abdellatif Sfaxi has resigned to pursue other career opportunities.

The Chairman of Arkan, Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri, said: "Eng. Asad is well suited for the role of Acting CEO at Arkan given the many years he spent in senior management roles across the business. He will be supported by a strong executive management team enabling him to lead the business in the best interests of all stakeholders."
