EGX ends Monday in green on local, Arab purchases
The market cap value increased by EGP 3.1 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session in the green territory on the back of local and Arab purchases.

The main EGX30 index ended higher by 0.57% to 11,136 points.

Similarly, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI climbed by 0.62% to 1,853 points, while the EGX100 EWI grew by 0.51% to 2,742 points.

In the meantime, the equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.33%, ending the session at 1,996 points.

The market cap value increased by EGP 3.1 billion to close at EGP 625.137 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 109.7 billion, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 99.6 million and EGP 10.1 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover registered EGP 1.05 billion after 345.28 million shares were traded through nearly 38,250 transactions.
