Riyadh – Mubasher: The Arar border crossing between Saudi Arabia and Iraq will reopen within 20 days, state-run Iraqi News Agency reported on Thursday.

The opening exact date will be determined by the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa al-Kadhimi, in coordination with the Saudi Royal Court.

In 2017, Saudi Arabia and Iraq planned to open the Arar border crossing for trade for the first time since 1990, when it was closed after the countries cut ties following Saddam Hussein’s invasion of Kuwait, Reuters reported citing Saudi local media.
